False Priests in Japan

In Japan the trend is for western style weddings. Only 1 % of the Japanese population is Christian and yet 70% get married in church. The demand for priests is so important that marriage centres hire whoever comes through their doors. Anglo Saxons are the most in demand: French, Italian or Spanish. They are professors, barmen or restaurant owners and after a few days of training, usually given by unscrupulous matchmakers, these new priests give out marriage certificates as artificial as the chapels in which they operate. With absolutely no religious conviction whatsoever. © STEPHANE REMAEL
